No5 Barristers Chambers (Chambers of Mark Anderson QC)

Louise undertakes a wide variety of contentious probate work including advising on the construction of wills and trusts, and Inheritance Act claims. She has had experience of a number of more unusual Inheritance Act cases seeking to challenge provision on the basis of a sham marriage, including a 2-day High Court trial. Louise also regularly advises and drafts pleadings in trusts cases. Her strengths and main interests lie in the more complicated and technical aspects of the law in these areas. She enjoys practising across a spectrum of land and property work. She regularly advises and represents both claimants and defendants in TOLATA matters and has experience of disputes over rights of way and boundaries, and proprietary estoppel. Louise also deals with a wide range of contractual and commercial disputes including breach of contract and misrepresentation claims, together with sale of goods, hire purchase agreements and insolvency matters. She has extensive court experience at all levels, including multi-day, multi-track and High Court matters. Louise has experience in the Court of Protection, and has been involved in cases dealing with the welfare and financial arrangements for elderly adults without capacity, particularly where there are family disputes about such matters. In addition Louise enjoys advising both on paper and in conference and regularly drafts pleadings, applications and settles witness statements. Louise strives to deliver both to her professional and lay clients and prides herself on her ability to build a good rapport with those whom she represents. Louise has had exposure to a wide variety of court work and tribunals which provides her with a strong practical base as she looks to build upon her growing specialisms.
