Position

Tim is an advocate with a wide ranging experience across several sectors. His work in professional discipline, financial regulation, health & safety and coronial Law has marked him out as one to watch in the regulatory field. He is conscious of the need to add value to any client’s case, from the largest institutions to the individual client. Tim has significant experience in advising in water regulation, commodities regulation (oil and gas) and some elements of construction. Tim has been appointed to the RFU Judicial Panel. He will sit on the panel to hear competition cases, appeals, jurisdictional cases, disciplinary and competition. He continues to work in high profile criminal cases alongside his other work.

At 23 Essex StreetTim Grey successfully represented the General Dental Council (GDC) in a case brought against Steven Bal Sharma, a high-profile UK dentist, concerning alleged false advertising of the defendant’s dental services and charges of misconduct relating to deficient dental work; Sharma was erased from the GDC’s register in January 2019. Elsewhere, Christopher Hamlet successful prosecution of a chiropractor over claims of unacceptable conduct. Matthew Kewley left the set in August 2018 to become an assistant coroner.
