1 Gray\'s Inn Square

Daniel Fugallo, who prosecutes and defends, is an advocate with a gift for making the technical accessible and for getting the best out of the most vulnerable witnesses and defendants.

Daniel has been a Level 4 prosecutor since the CPS Advocates Panels were introduced, and regularly prosecutes serious cases including murder, armed robbery, kidnap and large-scale drugs conspiracy, both on his own and as leading counsel. He is also a specialist rape prosecutor, and he has acted in many trials involving multi-complainant historic sexual abuse.

As a prosecutor and a defender, Daniel is experienced in presenting, and challenging, expert evidence, including cell-site, DNA, body-mapping, ballistics, computers, road traffic reconstruction, voice recognition and blood-spattering.

He has dealt extensively with applications involving PII, and is experienced in dealing with surveillance material and evidence from undercover officers.

He has appeared in numerous cases involving very young children, adults with learning difficulties, and intermediaries for both defendants and witnesses. He has been praised many times for the reassuring, sensitive and “unstuffy” way that he deals with young and vulnerable defendants and witnesses.

He has prosecuted and defended in a wide range of complex frauds, including money laundering, public sector fraud, and trading as a bankrupt.
