Career

Ed Morgan KC’s practice focuses on employment lawcommercial law, disciplinary and regulatory work and inquests  as well as mediation and arbitration. As part of his regulatory law practice, he has cultivated extensive experience in a number of specialist sectors, including the NHS and Canon Law of the Catholic Church and is regularly instructed to provide strategic advice and conduct governance investigations and reviews in these areas.

Ed regularly writes case reviews for LexisNexis and professional book reviews for specialist journals, including the Ecclesiastical Law Journal and the Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland. He has written and presented specialist papers to a variety of multi-disciplinary and specialist audiences. He is a Fellow of the University of Cardiff and a Visiting Professor at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Edward studied in England (LLB and LLM) and Belgium (JCL, PhD and JCD) and is a dual tenant at St John Street Chambers in Manchester. His judicial appointments include Employment Judge (2000) and Assistant Coroner (2019).

Ed has also recently renewed his practice certificate in the Bar of Northern Ireland.
