Angharad specialises in advisory and advocacy work in a wide range of commercial and private international law disputes concerning litigation and arbitration (both domestic and international).

Her practice focuses on projects and heavy industry, sale of goods, commodities, energy and natural resources, offshore, carriage of goods, shipping and conflicts of laws. Angharad works with public international law issues arising in a commercial context. She also has expertise in topical matters relating to international trade and commercial work, including export bans, frustration and force majeure arguments arising out of volatile political situations, and sanctions issues.

Angharad regularly undertakes work in respect of relief such as freezing orders, anti-suit injunctions, strike-out applications, security for costs and enforcement of foreign judgments.

She has represented clients in numerous LMAA arbitrations. In addition, Angharad frequently acts in arbitrations before other arbitral bodies, including ICC, LCIA and CIArb. She regularly undertakes advisory work in relation to trade arbitrations (GAFTA, FOSFA etc.). Angharad also accepts arbitral appointments.

Angharad has been appointed to the Treasury B Panel Civil/Commercial list.

It is widely regarded as the leading set across the full spectrum of commodities cases, including areas of growing importance such as commodities fraud and cryptoasset trading. Leading junior Angharad Parry was also involved in a novel case, having obtained the first reported worldwide freezing order granted by an English court in relation to a Scottish limited partnership. Among its members are some of the leading names in shipping, commodities and international trade, notably Timothy Young QC and Michael Ashcroft QC, the latter having handled a major off-specification fuel oil dispute in Commercial Court. Michael Collett QC and outstanding junior Oliver Caplin recently were recently involved in MT “Tenacity” – Tenacity Marine Inc v NOC Swiss LLC, which concerned the alleged misdelivery of cargo without presentation of bills of lading following the insolvency of Gulf Petroleum.
