Widely recognised as a leading junior in employment law. Does the full range of employment and related commercial work at first instance, in both the High Court and the Employment Tribunal, and at appellate level (EAT, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court). Acts for a wide range of clients in relation to their business disputes, including employees (generally, but not exclusively, senior executives) and employers (often in the financial services industry), partners and partnerships, and members of LLPs and LLPs. In the Tribunal he focuses on complex, and generally high-value, whistleblowing and discrimination claims, although his practice encompasses the full range of claims in that forum. His High Court practice, which overlaps with his commercial work, involves wrongful dismissal and bonus claims, share scheme/phantom share scheme and share option disputes, permanent health insurance claims, and also litigation arising in respect of alleged breaches of confidentiality, fiduciary duties and restrictive covenants, where he is also frequently instructed to seek or resist applications for injunctive relief. Has advised and acted at disciplinary hearings for individuals before the Financial Services Authority, the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Football Association.
