Career

Heidi heads up  the firm’s planning and environment group which is made up of both planners and solicitors. The team is highly regarded and has an enviable track record of success in delivering complex major development and regeneration projects both for public and private sector clients.

Heidi has a thorough knowledge of the planning process and the framework necessary to deliver development.  She is particularly experienced in the negotiation and drafting of section 106 agreements, highways and infrastructure agreements. She also has considerable experience of contentious issues, such as high court challenges and enforcement.

She also has a particular specialism in the resolution of issues such as rights of way, village greens etc. which threaten to impact on development.

Copland is especially experienced in handling major housebuilding schemes, including those relating to affordable housing. Chloe Karamian is known for her work on highways and rights of way, as well as handling both planning and environmental issues relating to large-scale development projects. Peter Rainier is the principal director of planning, while associate planner Daniel Frisby has experience in environmental assessment and planning applications.
