Career

Katherine completed her pupillage in family and civil law and continues to develop her practice in these areas. She has experience in a range of Children Act applications and regularly represents clients in applications for injunctive relief under the Family Law Act. In civil law, Katherine has experience in housing law cases including suspending warrants for possession, drafting pleadings and assisting in disrepair and homelessness cases. She also has a broad experience in property law including advising on beneficial interests in a property.

Other experience

Prior to pupillage, Katherine worked as an in-house advocate for a Solicitors firm where she accepted instructions in a number of County Court matters including small claims, infant approval and application hearings. She also provided advice on quantum and liability in personal injury cases.

Katherine spent almost 5 months in the UK division of the European Court of Human Rights as a Study Visitor working on cases linked to mass surveillance and contributing to comparative law studies. She also undertook an internship at the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants.
