Career

Jeremy Russell Joined chambers from 2-3 Hind Court in April 2018.

His main area of practice is family work including Public and Private Children Act Work, Financial Provisions and Trusts for Land. Mr Russell appears in all courts including the High Court and Court of Appeal on a variety of cases.

Notable cases

Mubarak and Mubarak [2001] 1 FLR 698 which put an end to the use of the Judgement Summons procedure for enforcing Ancillary Relief orders. 

McCabe and McCabe[1994] 1FLR 410 for the recognition of a customary Ghanaian Marriage (between an Irish man and a Ghanaian woman where neither party was present at the marriage – they were both in the UK when the marriage took place)
