Christopher specialises in criminal and regulatory advocacy

Career

As a defence advocate, Christopher represents those charged with sexual, violent, and drugs offences. He has defended those accused of the most serious offences including kidnap and terrorism. He advises those appealing their conviction or sentence before the Court of Appeal and has experience as a led junior.

Christopher accepts instructions to act for both regulators and registrants in the regulatory tribunals. He has presented cases on behalf of healthcare regulators, as well as advising regulators in the “pre-charge” stage of proceedings. He also represents individuals facing disciplinary proceedings in sporting tribunals.

Before joining Doughty Street, Christopher was seconded as disclosure junior to the Serious Fraud Office. Previously, he gained litigation experience of financial crime and extradition as a paralegal in Kingsley Napley LLP. He has assisted senior members of chambers in private prosecution matters.
