Position

Akash’s principal areas of practice are employment law and tax litigation, including employment-related tax disputes. He has extensive experience of appearing in a wide range of forums ranging from specialist tribunals to the High Court, Court of Appeal, Privy Council and Supreme Court. He practices across the full range of, often complex and high-value, employment law cases representing large employers (including global financial institutions and leading airlines) and the Government. He represents both taxpayers and the HMRC in a wide range of tax disputes including remuneration structures and taxation of employees; domicile, individual, corporate and treaty residence; assessments, discoveries and penalties.
