In September 2019, Jenna Chaplin successfully completed her pupillage under the supervision of Matthew Rudd and Peter Hampton and accepted tenancy at Broadway House Chambers.

Jenna is happy to accept instructions in all areas of law.

During pupillage, Jenna has assisted in a number of cases of serious sexual and violent offences for both the Prosecution and the Defence. Jenna has had experience of all areas of family law and has assisted on a wide variety of employment law cases. She is keen to undertake work in these areas.

Before coming to the Bar, Jenna worked as a paralegal in a solicitors’ firm specialising in criminal defence. Jenna spent one year preparing cases for trial on the Magistrates’ Court team before moving to the Crown Court team. During this period, she conducted litigation in a wide variety of cases including serious sexual and violent offences. Jenna is experienced in conducting conferences with defendants including those with vulnerabilities.

Jenna assisted in the preparation of a private prosecution on behalf of the RSPCA and other serious cases including where the defendants had been charged with murder and firearms offences.
