Position

A criminal practitioner well-known for prosecution and defence work in the sphere of sexual offences and offences involving violence. Specialises in cases involving vulnerable people, females and children either as defendants or complainants, and notable for handling of ‘sensitive’ cases. Significant proportion of her practice involves child-sex abuse with multiple defendants and/or complainants. Particular interest and knowledge in the field of forensic science. Regularly instructed as leading junior in a high proportion of cases – both prosecuting and defending. Notable cases: R v M and others – Central Criminal Court, ‘witchcraft’ case torture of young girl and conspiracy to murder; R v H – Kingston CC, multiple serious sexual offences against young boys; R v P – Snaresbrook CC, child cruelty, allegedly Munchausen’s syndrome by proxy; R v S – Reading CC, historic allegations of child sex abuse against young boys; R v O – CCC, allegations of serial rape; R v D – Southwark CC, alleged conspiracy to control prostitution; R v P – Luton CC, multiple sexual offences against young girls.
