Kate was called to the Bar in 2019 and became a tenant of Landmark Chambers in December 2021.

Kate has a strong practice encompassing property, costs litigation, insolvency and commercial litigation. She regularly appears in the County and High Court in relation to a whole range of matters from procedural hearings and interlocutory applications through to complex witness trials on the multi-track.

In addition to her Court experience, Kate also frequently accepts instructions to draft statements of case, applications and formal advice across her practice areas. Kate has experience in dealing with claims from start to finish and is happy to provide informal advice and guidance through the course of proceedings.

Beyond her year of call, Kate has also assisted on several high-value matters, including:

  • Providing advice in respect of Inheritance Tax on an estate valued at £1.3 million.
  • Providing advice in respect of early redemption fees in excess of £400,000.
  • Advising in respect of a Bridging Facility Agreement in the sum of £1.7 million and the impact on possession proceedings.

Kate also has an interest in tax and is currently undertaking her ATT and CTA exams.

Kate regularly goes above and beyond to assist those instructing her by offering webinars and seminars to ensure her knowledge is passed on.
