Career

A member of Chambers since completion of pupillage in 2008, Tom appears before all levels of court and professional disciplinary tribunals. He has undertaken secondments at the National Crime Agency (2012-14 and 2016-2019) having conduct of criminal and civil proceeds of crime cases (including unexplained wealth orders, account freezing orders and civil recovery proceedings), and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (2011) as a case presenter in professional disciplinary cases. Tom has worked for a leading firm in the US conducting anti-bribery investigations and advising clients on compliance issues and bribery prevention. Tom is regularly instructed for both the prosecution and defence on extradition cases before the UK courts both at first instance and on appeal.
