Position

Principal area of practice is Financial Remedy Applications including Financial Provision for Children, Pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and Inheritance Act Claims. Also has experience of private law children and domestic violence work. Notable cases include: LM v DM [2021] EWFC 28; Yates v Yates [2013] 2 FLR 1070; V v V (divorce; jurisdiction)[2011] 2 FLR 778; Currey v Currey [2005] 1 FLR 952 & Matharu v Matharu [1994] 2 FLR 597.

Career

After completing a degree in Economics at UCL and a short service career as a Royal Naval Officer undertook Diploma in Law at City University and called to the Bar in 1990. Early career in general Common Law before specialising in Family Law since 1999. Collaborative Law trained and undertakes Public Access work. Has sat as Deputy District Judge on Western Circuit since 2000.
