Sebastian Pigott has broad-ranging experience of litigation, arbitration, adjudication, ADR and non-contentious construction work. He specialises in energy, construction, engineering and infrastructure, professional negligence and general commercial disputes. Sebastian was a solicitor for many years specialising in construction law. He started practice as a barrister in 2004 and joined Atkin Chambers in 2012. Sebastian has appeared in the High Court and Court of Appeal as counsel either alone or as junior and has represented clients in both international and domestic arbitrations. He has represented contractors, sub-contractors and employers in adjudications including high-value disputes. Recent experience includes an ICC arbitration in London involving complex offshore and onshore engineering issues, a dispute in the Technology and Construction Court concerning a tower-based soft yoke mooring system as part of an offshore oil installation in the Caspian Sea, a major arbitration in the UAE concerning a large mixed use development, and a 42 day trial in the Technology and Construction Court of claims involving highway maintenance and construction.


Called in 1994. Admitted to the roll as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1996. Commenced practice as a Barrister in 2004.
