Julie assists clients in obtaining worldwide patent and design protection.
Career
Dr. Julie Millburn joined Reddie & Grose in 2000 and was made a partner in 2005. Julie advises UK and overseas clients on patent and design matters. She handles patent work in pure chemical, applied chemical and general mechanical fields, including medical devices, building materials, food technology, the tobacco industry and packaging.
Julie has experience of filing and prosecuting patent applications before the UK and European Patent Offices, of handling oppositions before the European Patent Office and of filing UK design applications. She also coordinates filing and prosecution of patent and design applications and regularly organises patent and design infringement clearance searches for her clients in countries around the world.
She has considerable experience of obtaining registered design protection for consumer products and packaging.
