Andrea handles patent work in the general mechanical and applied chemical fields, including applications relating to materials processing, automation of manufacturing processes, packaging, dispensing systems and the tobacco industry.

Career

Andrea Civera joined Reddie & Grose in 2013, having previously worked for an Italian IP firm.

After graduating from Politecnico di Torino with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, he completed a PhD that focussed on environmental applications of catalytic materials.

In his practice as a patent attorney, he has worked for individual inventors as well as for multinational companies with worldwide patent portfolios, and has accordingly filed, prosecuted, and managed patent portfolios in a large number of countries around the world. He has also been involved with infringement and validity opinions of patent rights, and has assisted with Oral Proceedings at the Examining Division and Opposition Division levels of the European Patent Office.
