Adam Kelvey handles patents in the engineering, materials and consumer products fields

Career

Adam joined Reddie & Grose in September 2014 after graduating from the University of Oxford with a Master’s degree in Materials Science. In his final year he investigated graphene growth on catalytic substrates with a view to producing massive graphene single crystals. Before joining Reddie and Grose, Adam gained industrial experience in the metallurgy laboratory at a leading manufacturer of high performance transmission components.

Adam handles work in the engineering, materials and consumer products fields. He has a particular passion for sustainable innovation and has worked with clients involved in a number of relevant technologies including biodegradable polymers, electric vehicle powertrains, and wind turbine technology.

Adam drafts patent applications which he prosecutes in the UK, Europe, and around the world and understands the various strategies needed in different jurisdictions as a result. Adam also has experience arguing complex cases in proceedings before both the Opposition Divisions, and the Boards of Appeal at the European Patent Office.
