Kerman & Co LLP is committed to being a responsible business and to ensuring that we operate in a socially conscious and an environmentally sustainable manner.

Inclusion & Diversity

Like our clients, we embrace diversity, and we employ staff from a range of educational and cultural backgrounds. Where possible, our staff work flexibly. We support The Law Society’s commitment to securing a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.

We regularly monitor diversity within the firm. The results of our most recent annual review process (based on the number of respondents) showed that 55% are female, while 38% come from ethnic minorities. We have a very broad range of employees across the age groups, 56% of which are between 25 and 44 years of age, but 18% are 55 years or older.

Our employees also come from a mix of educational backgrounds, with almost 11% attending school outside the UK while 53% attended UK state schools.

We strive to create a safe and inclusive workplace for all our employees, and to broaden their skills and experience so that they can grow and prosper with us.

Community & Pro Bono

We are committed to supporting the communities where we do business. We regularly collaborate with clients, NGOs and charities to deliver pro bono services. We support a number of charities with fundraising and other activities, we regularly organise fundraising events and all our staff our encouraged to support these.  We do not have an exclusive relationship with a particular charity, but have recently raised money for The Sick Children’s Trust, Seeing is Believing, The British Heart Foundation, Children with Cancer, and Crisis.

We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment. For many years now, we have operated (as best we can) as a paperless office – relying on IT to store and file documents. Where we do use paper, we recycle large quantities of it and use recycled materials where appropriate. We also have a follow-me print management system, which helps us to eliminate wastage due to unclaimed printing, and the software actively monitors the environmental impact of all our print devices.  All our employees have access to an environmental impact dashboard that displays their personal contribution to the firm’s printing/copying output.
