Network department head Gordon Dalyell represented 13 relatives of a female car passenger killed in a road traffic collision in separate claims, 10 of which were settled extra-judicially, the remaining of which proceeded to jury trial, with claims settled for significant sums. ‘Well prepared’ and noted for getting ‘good results’, serious injury department head Chris Stewart acted for the uncle and financial guardian of a car accident victim who suffered severe brain injury following a car collision, throughout quantum investigations and a subsequent trial, leading to a settlement of £6.5m to cover the client’s care costs. Product liability expert and head of the foreign and travel department, Mark Gibson successfully represented the brother of a man who died following a fire caused by the overheating of his wheelchair motor, in a case involving complex evidential issues. Moira Kay is also recommended as ‘a leading light in brain and spinal injury cases’.
