The 'precise and relevant' oil and gas team at Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP is 'excellent on all accounts', according to one client. Practice head Paul Stockley and Aberdeen's Richard Cockburn are both noted as 'switched on and service-minded' and recently welcomed Thomas Williams from Boodle Hatfield LLP as litigation and international arbitration partner. Chrysaor instructed the firm to handle its acquisition of a number of North Sea assets from Shell, and Serica appointed the firm to assist with its takeover of BP's interests in the Bruce, Keith and Rhum gas fields in the North Sea. Tom Beezer is based in Southampton and represented Endeavour Energy in its dispute with joint venture partners regarding the costs of rig decommissioning operations in the North Sea. On the domestic front, Alex Hirom continues to advise Barking Power on the contractual aspects of the conversion of a large gas-fired power plant in East London.
