Career

Mr. López practice focusses in civil judicial matters, administrative procedures and arbitrations. In particular, he has sponsored causes related to civil liability, pharmaceutical regulatory matters and consumer law, advising strategies and preparing reports to that effect.

Before joining DLA Piper Chile, he worked as a lawyer for a major energy company. In regulatory and environmental matters, he has specialized in affairs related to Indigenous Law, having been highlighted in this field by Chambers and Partners and as a litigator in Leaders League.

Regulated markets and administrative law expert Felipe Bahamondez heads the team, which includes litigation counsel Ricardo López and senior associate Paulina Farías.

DLA Piper Chile regularly handles complex commercial and civil law disputes – most recently in  the technology, pharmaceutical, food and transportation sectors. Counsels Macarena Iturra, who has a civil and commercial focus within a broader litigation and arbitration practice (and is particuarly noted for her trial expertise); and Ricardo López who handles civil litigation and administrative procedures (particularly cases related to civil liability, pharmaceutical regulatory matters and consumer law), co-head the arbitration and litigation team.
