Anna-Marie trained and qualified with an international law firm in England before returning to Northern Ireland in 2006. She then gained eight years’ experience with another major Belfast law firm before joining Mills Selig in 2014. She is qualified to act in Northern Ireland, England and Wales. Anna-Marie advises a wide range of clients including commercial, residential and mixed use developers, public sector bodies, institutional banks, investment funds and private investors on all aspects of commercial property. Anna-Marie has extensive experience of sales, purchases, developments, management of portfolios, refinancing and commercial property aspects of corporate transactions. Anna-Marie also advises on all aspects of environment and energy law, particularly renewable energy, and she obtained an LLM in 2012 in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development Law. She has experience of acting for major funds, energy companies, developers and land owners on a wide range of environment and energy matters including: brownfield remediation and risk mitigation; wind farm, solar (both commercial and residential) and hydro power developments; anaerobic digestion plants and environmental and planning due diligence.


Trained and qualified in England and Wales with Hammonds LLP; qualified 2005; returned to Northern Ireland to Tughans Solicitors May 2006 to July 2014; and joined Mills Selig July 2014.

The team also advises local developers, housing associations and government bodies on major residential and hotel developments and regeneration schemes. The team also assists with contracts for the supply of energy, including natural gas and electricity generated by wind turbines.
