The London finance practice at Dechert LLP frequently handles international debt and equity transactions, including liability management exercises, involving emerging markets. It acts for global investment banks, financial institutions and a wide range of issuers, including sovereigns, quasi-sovereigns, corporates and investment funds, on public and private issuances of equity and debt securities, including high yield and investment grade notes, governed by both English and US law. The practice has notable experience in the Middle East and North Africa, the Mediterranean basin, the CIS and Caucasus and Central Asian regions, and works closely with capital markets teams across its global network of offices. Its work in innovative transactions continued in 2018 with the first ever green bonds issued in accordance with the International Capital Market Association Green Bond Principles 2017 and the ASEAN Green Bond Standard. Patrick Lyons is a key name in the debt market. Of counsel Camille Abousleiman retains a role in the practice but is currently a minister in the government of Lebanese Republic.
