Simon Wong focuses his practice on financial services and investment management matters, with particular emphasis on investment funds, financial services regulations, private equity and venture capital transactions. He advises investment managers on the structuring, establishment and distribution of private equity, hedge and mutual funds, as well as representing investors on their investments into funds.
Mr. Wong also advises investment managers and financial institutions on legal issues relating to their business, including licensing and registration, marketing and distribution of financial products, corporate governance, operational setup and other regulatory matters. He has experience dealing with fund offering issues in Hong Kong, PRC, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and the U.S.
Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Wong served as an associate in the investment management practice at another international law firm. His previous experience also includes working as legal counsel at two international investment managers.
