Career

Michael P. Wong’s practice focuses on fund formation, fund investments and retail fund registration. Mr. Wong covers a broad range of investment funds, including hedge, private equity, private debt and venture capital. His clients include international and PRC asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, investment banks, venture capitalists and institutional investors.

Mr. Wong also has extensive experience advising on financial services regulatory matters such as financial intermediaries licensing, compliance, financial products marketing and distribution, listed shareholdings disclosures and market misconduct, and has been active in advising on acquisitions of financial intermediaries in Hong Kong and Asia.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Wong was a partner in the investment management practice at another international law firm.
