David Cho, a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Dechert’s Hong Kong office, focuses his practice on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and capital markets transactions, including U.S. SEC-registered public offerings, Rule 144A/Regulation S equity/debt and equity-linked offerings, and other corporate matters. Mr. Cho represents major companies across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, technology, chemicals, telecommunications, insurance, energy and private equity, in transactions throughout Asia, particularly in China, South Korea, Indonesia and Taiwan.

South Korea > Corporate and M&A: foreign firms

Dechert‘s Hong Kong office head David Cho, who leads the firm’s Korea practice, undertakes large global transactions for major multinational companies (including many Korean conglomerates) by working closely with other practitioners in the firm’s global network, such as Siew Kam Boon and counsel Timothy Goh in Singapore. Also notable is that there are a number of Korean-speaking lawyers located in New York, Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Susan Yoon is another name to note in Hong Kong. Iris Park recently joined Samsung Electronics as a senior legal counsel.

Dechert serves as a one-stop shop in strategic corporate and M&A transactions, where its ability to cover all related matters (including finance, real estate and commercial litigation) comes to the fore.
