Dechert LLP's antitrust team recently secured a full victory for egg producer RW Sauder in a class action brought by direct purchasers claiming the client - and 12 other producers - conspired to reduce the domestic supply of eggs. George Gordon and Christine Levin, who are based in Philadelphia, defended Endo Pharmaceuticals in 'reverse payment' litigation brought by the FTC as a challenge to a patent settlement including a 'no-authorized generic' provision. A key name to note in New York is Ethan Litwin, who represented American Airlines in a series of class actions claiming the major airlines colluded to coordinate passenger seat capacity. Philadelphia-based Steven Bizar and New York-based Michael Weiner spearhead the firm's global antitrust department. Rani Habash was recently promoted to partner in the Washington DC office.

Dechert LLP 'is the gold standard for outside counsel', according to one client. The antitrust team is 'responsive, creative, practical and informed' and operates under the joint leadership of Steven Bizar and Michael Weiner in Philadelphia and New York, respectively. In recent highlights, Washington DC-based Mike Cowie is representing CVS Health in its proposed acquisition of health insurer Aetna as well as in its sale of its RxCrossroads unit to McKesson. Fresenius appointed the group to oversee its acquisition of NxStage, and counsel Gregory Luib - who sits in Washington DC - was part of the team which advised American Airlines on its extended partnership with Qantas. Also notable is Craig Falls, who has recently assisted clients in the manufacturing and construction space. Rani Habash was recently promoted to partner in Washington DC, while Paul Denis retired.
