France > Tax
(Rising stars)Co-managing partner Sabina Comis has established Dechert LLP as one of the market’s go-to practices for sophisticated private equity work, spanning transactions and fund formation, a remarkable combination in the market. The compact team, which runs mostly as a stand-alone practice, is in high demand and worked on a high number of transactions in 2021. Large French, US and UK and mid-size funds are clients, as well as leading French family offices and high-level CEOs in relation to fund formation and investment work. The team is also the preferred advisor to a leading US private equity house for its largest transactions in France. The tax team has recently diversified its range of intervention, notably assisting colleagues from other practice areas. For instance, the group recently advised on a real estate tax transaction and was involved in a very large international M&A transaction involving several offices abroad. Lately, the tax team also has assisted several individual private investors with their relocation from London to Paris. Senior associate Etienne Bimbeau is the other key name in the team.
Paris > Droit fiscal
