Position

Andrew advises charities and registered providers on commercial transactions and governance issues. These include: joint ventures (among them property JVs with developers); buying and selling care homes; mergers, drafting constitutions and dealing with conflicts of interest.

In addition, Andrew acts for a number of private companies on a broad range of transactions, including funding raising and buying and selling companies and businesses. He also advises private equity funds on investment transactions.

Career

Trained at Speechly Bircham (now Charles Russell Speechlys); qualified 1982, investment banker Morgan Grenfell & Co Ltd 1985; Cameron Markby (now CMS) 1985; partner 1989; partner Devonshires 2003, consultant Devonshires January 2017.

Memberships

Charity Law Association (and was on the CLA working parities on the proposed reform of industrial and provident law regime and also on social investments); City of London Law Society’s Commercial Law sub-committee.
