Position

Federico Vanetti is a partner in Dentons’ Milan office, Co-Head of Europe Environmental Protection Regulatory and Head of Italy's Public Policy and Regulation practice.

He deals mainly with administrative law and real estate, and he is specialised in environmental law, town planning and construction, procurement and administrative litigation at the Regional Administrative Court (TAR).

He also provides assistance in the real estate development, particularly in environmental issues (decontamination, procedures for EIA and SEA), planning aspects (program agreements, changes of town planning), authorizations and commercial aspects. In the real estate investment operations, he assists national and international clients in the evaluation of real estate assets (income or project).

Federico also assists manufacturing companies or construction companies in the ordinary course of administrative problems and administrative litigation, with a particular focus on environmental issues (waste management, earth and rock excavation, products, environmental permits).

Career

Federico Vanetti has been a Dentons’ partner since the opening of the Milan office in October 2015. Prior to that, he spent several years at DLA Piper, as a partner since 2012. Previously, he was an associate at the Italian tax and law firm DS&P.

Federico is a frequent speaker in conferences and seminars. He works with “Sole24Ore,” and he is the author of several articles and publications.

Dentons is frequently involved in urban planning, environmental law, and public contracts matters. Head of team Federico Vanetti assisted Real Estate Strategie Immobiliari with the development strategy for a logistics project and in negotiations with the public authorities, and represented SGL Carbon in a dispute with Restart regarding remediation works on an industrial site. Counsel Ilaria Gobbato is another name to note.
