Sarah is a Partner in our award-winning TMT Department in London, with significant experience of advising clients from an in-house basis and has worked on many significant large scale projects for public sector bodies.

Sarah’s secondment experience includes a secondment to the National Policing Improvement Agency in 2009 for 9 months to assist with the implementation of the Police National Database project and a further 12 months secondment to another public sector body to assist the commercial procurement group with their commercial legal requirements.

Sarah joined the TMT team at Dentons in 2013, having trained and qualified at Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP as part of the Technology and Outsourcing Group. She completed her GDL and LPC at the College of Law in London in 2006 and 2007 respectively and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Sarah originally studied for a BSc(Hons) in Physiology at Cardiff University, graduating in 2005, before attaining her LLB at College of Law in 2007.

Sarah has spoken at the Whitehall Industry Group Public Private Procurement Forum on lean procurement and has contributed to a number of articles in respect of intellectual property and technology outsourcing.

Dentons’ dedicated commercial contracts team utilises the firm’s global network to handle a broad range of domestic and international mandates for high-profile clients including KKR, Sainsbury’s and Virgin Group. Scott Singer heads up the UK commercial division and is a key contact for retail and financial services clients, and Andy Lucas leads the TMT department. Other noteworthy individuals include the highly regarded Martin Fanning, Henrietta Baker, who focuses on the energy, manufacturing and transport sectors; and Tristan Jonckheer. Dentons is particularly active in the technology sector, providing clients with advice in relation to software licensings, cloud services, outsourcings, patent protection issues; the firm is also involved in various prominent public sector projects. In one standout matter, the team is advising Transport for London in relation to the roll-out of 4G on platforms, stations and tunnel sections of the TFL estate for the first time. Group co-head Andy Lucas regularly advises clients in relation to major IT projects; he is also well-known for advising on the use of emerging technology, such as AI and health tech. Fellow co-head Martin Fanning is highly regarded for his expertise in commercial technology transactions, electronic and mobile commerce projects and large-scale IT, telecoms and business procurements. Senior associates Sarah Lima and Rachael Morris are also recommended.
