Career
David Little is Managing Partner of the Ottawa office at Dentons Canada LLP. As the Chair of Dentons Canada’s Private Equity | Venture Capital Group, David’s practice focuses on representing funds and emerging companies in venture capital financings, cross-border transactions, buy-outs and mergers and acquisitions.
David regularly acts as principal external counsel for many of the leading venture capital investors (both private and public) in Canada and the United States in a broad range of financing transactions, including a number of the largest VC deals in Canada over the last several years. He also provides ongoing corporate and securities advice to numerous knowledge-based and other emerging companies through all stages of the growth cycle, from start-up through to larger-scale mergers, acquisitions and public financings.
David also advises public company clients on private and public offerings of securities, corporate governance, stock options and other corporate matters. Between May 2010 and June 2012, he was a member of the Board of Directors of International Datacasting Corporation (IDC: TSX). He regularly represents founders, senior executives and angel investors of private companies. He currently serves as Corporate Secretary of Vintage Wings of Canada/Les Ailes D’Époque du Canada.
