Matthew’s practice involves all phases of the acquisitions of Petroleum and Natural Gas Rights including the drafting of Sales Agreements conducting title reviews and preparation of conveyancing documentation. Matthew also assist a coal company with their land interest in Alberta His commercial real estate practice focuses on leasing of commercial and the financing of commercial properties and business. In assisting his Oil and Gas clients in meeting their objectives, Matthew also conducts historical title opinions, freehold drilling opinions and investigates and assists in the resolution of day to day operational issues. In the coal industry he assists in the drafting of freehold coal royalty and lease agreements, pasture and crop leases and regularly deals with other Alberta land titles issues for lands owned by his clients here in Alberta. Matthew is involved in the preparation of security documentation for land based financing on the acquisition of Hotels and commercial development properties and acts for clients buying and selling commercial properties. Matthew has dealt with the sale and financing of commercial properties in the National Parks, financing Major Hotels, warehouse development and was a team member on the financing of a major office towers in Alberta. Matthew was invited and spoke at an Oil and Gas Investment Forum in Beijing, China on the acquisition of conventional oil and gas assets in Western Canada.
