Career
Don practises corporate commercial law specializing in outsourcing, technology, e-commerce and privacy matters. Don advises both vendors and users of technology products and services and assists large and small clients in commercializing, protecting and acquiring technology related assets and services.
Don has extensive experience in outsourcing and technology transactions, including business process, technology infrastructure, customer care and call center outsourcing transactions, as well as, systems integration, technology development, licensing, acquisition, channel arrangements and hosting agreements.
Prior to joining Dentons, Don was General Counsel for Basis100 Inc., a Canadian public company, and Canadian counsel for Tandem Computers Canada and Compaq Canada after Compaq purchased Tandem. Before becoming a lawyer, Don obtained his Chartered Accountant (CPA) designation while working at Touche Ross & Co. as an auditor.
