Karl Schober is an Associate in the Business Law department of the Toronto office. His focus is primarily on privacy law, competition and antitrust, as well as advertising and marketing law. Prior to arriving at Dentons, Karl was with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, where he investigated complaints and ensured compliance under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Karl summered and articled with another downtown Toronto law firm. Prior to law school, Karl worked as a Competition Law Officer with the Competition Bureau in Calgary for almost four years, investigating several areas under the Competition Act, including price-fixing, mass marketing fraud, misleading advertising, pyramid schemes and deceptive business practices.
