Position

Giangiacomo Olivi is a partner in Dentons’ Milan office, Europe Co-head of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity group and Europe Co-head of the Intellectual Property and Technology practice.

He assists clients, such as national and international companies as well as industrial associations, providing strategical and commercial legal advice in relation to technology, media and communications matters, with a specific focus on data management and digital transformation.

Giangiacomo handled some of the most relevant matters in relation to data protection, data privacy and GDPR compliance (including coordinating major projects from Italy also involving multiple jurisdictions). He also assists clients with regard to outsourcing and commercial transactions in a wide range of sectors.

Giangiacomo is renowned as one of the best TMT lawyers in Italy.

Career

Before joining Dentons, he has been a partner of DLA Piper for more than ten years. Prior to that, he spent about five years as a partner of Carnelutti.
