Daniel Vázquez is a partner in the Madrid office and Head of Dentons’ Environmental Practice Group in Spain.
With more than 15 years of experience, Daniel focuses his professional practice advising and representing major domestic and international companies from nearly all economic sectors on Spanish and EU environmental law. His practice includes industrial emissions; atmospheric pollution; climate change; water; waste; product regulations (such as WEE, RoHS, batteries and packaging); land contamination; and administrative, civil and criminal environmental liability.
Daniel has extensive experience in corporate transactions with an environmental component, including M&A transactions involving industrial assets and portfolios holding industrial assets, the financing of energy projects and IPOs of companies linked to the environmental sector.
Daniel is also experienced in mining law. His mining practice covers exploration, development and production, and includes title review, due diligence, permitting, options, leases and royalties, as well as compliance issues.

Daniel has been rated Band 2 by the international directory Chambers Europe 2022.
