Position

Balázs Csuday is a partner at Dentons’ Budapest office and a member of the Regulatory practice. He focuses on public affairs, statutory compliance, and regulations concerning various sectors, including government, energy, financial institutions, and manufacturing. With regard to the energy industry, and particularly within the nuclear energy sector, Balázs has been nurturing decade-long ties with key stakeholders and representatives of various governments, various industrial sectors, and international organizations. He has also served as the Hungarian Sherpa at Nuclear Security Summits..

He successfully combines his solid international relations and legal understanding with outstanding management qualities when dealing with high level bilateral and multilateral political and business matters. By demonstrating strong leadership and integrity, his objective is to make best use of his experience in matters which are entwined with the complex functioning of governments and international organizations as well as business relations.

Career

Balázs is an international legal professional and a former ambassador with considerable experience in representing and advising the most senior levels of the Hungarian Government, Hungarian and multinational corporations, and the European Union in various international contexts. He was previously Director of Public Sector and Government Relations at a Big Four firm in Budapest. Prior to that, he served in the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary with the Permanent Mission of Hungary to the UN and other international organizations in Vienna.
