Dentons' Russian Real Estate and Construction Practice
Roman Kozlov is a partner in Dentons’ Moscow office. He specializes in real estate, construction law, mergers and acquisitions in the Russian Federation. Roman represents major Russian and international manufacturing companies in connection with constructing their industrial facilities in Russia starting from initial acquisition of land plots, through the planning and approval process and then on to construction and completion. Roman has been advising Russian and international retailers for ten years. His clients including leading players on the Russian retail market, such as Media Markt, Billa, Metro Cash & Carry, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Auchan, Hyperglobus, Atak, Selgros, and O’Key. The primary focus of his work with retailers is retail network expansion in Russia, both through M&A transactions and through building new retail space. Another important area for Roman is collective investment in real estate. Roman advises major Russian and international companies on the structure and legal formalization of collective investments in real estate, including through the establishment of specialized funds and joint ventures.
