Position

Arkadiusz Krasnodębski has been advising clients in the energy sector for almost 30 years and is one of the most experienced energy lawyers in Poland, regularly recognised by international legal benchmark publications.

He advised the biggest state owned players on the energy market: electric energy generators, distribution and transmission system operators and owners, as well as energy traders, on regulatory, contractual and corporate matters. His client portfolio also includes major international power groups involved in the privatisation and operation of energy sector companies.

He has provided advisory on numerous conventional, renewable and nuclear energy, water and waste-related projects.

Recently, his focus has turned to M&A and project development transactions concerning wind farms (including offshore), photovoltaic farms and other projects involving renewable energy sources. He is advising energy and gas distributors in proceedings before the Energy Regulatory Office, including licensing, tariff approvals and appointment of Transmission System Operators.

Managing partner Arkadiusz Krasnodębski is head of Dentons‘ energy and natural resources practice in Poland, CEE and Europe. The team advises companies in the Polish market including transmission and distribution system operators, energy producers and energy traders. The practice has expertise across a range of energy projects and mandates, especially in the renewable energy, oil and gas sectors, including privatisation transactions and acquisitions, PPP and energy-related infrastructure projects and compliance with environmental impact assessment procedures. In January 2022, Dr. Christian Schnell, dual-qualified lawyer in Poland and Germany, joined the team as a partner from Solivan Pontes alongside counsel Piotr Dziwniel, senior associate Olga Wasilewska and associate Ewa Gołąbek. In a further development of note, Agnieszka Kulińska recently made partner and is especially acclaimed for work at wind farm projects.
