Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy; Dispute Resolution
Stanisław Sołtysik, PhD, counsel in Dentons’ Warsaw office, is a member of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy and Litigation and Arbitration practice teams.
He represents clients, both national and international, in complex litigations and insolvency proceedings.
Stanisław focuses on advising financial institutions in various contentious matters, often concerning their potential liability vis-à-vis their clients (resulting from termination of facility agreements, management of investment funds, etc.), including consumer-related cases. He also acts in product liability, construction and other disputes, regularly involving issues of foreign law.
Stanisław has hands-on experience in restructuring matters (including the restructuring of more than 1 billion PLN bond debt owed to a consortium of banks) and frequently assists creditors in complex bankruptcy cases. He also advises clients on recoveries in distressed situations, having inter alia successfully acted on a takeover and resale of fuel worth over USD 15 million pledged to a Polish bank.
