Sandra is Co-Head of Dentons’ Global and Europe Tax Group.

Sandra is involved in restructuring and tax planning issues. She has extensive experience in assisting clients on tax audits and litigation, particularly in the area of transfer pricing and international structuring. She advises clients in many sectors of activity, such as food and hotels, and has particular expertise in the luxury, fashion and cosmetics industry.

Sandra is the founder of the “Cercle du Luxe”, a think tank dedicated to tax-related issues applying to the luxury sector.

Additionally, she has extensive experience in dealing with complex tax issues related to the digital economy. She is solicited by the OECD in particular for her expertise on taxation of intangibles.

Parallèlement, l’équipe de droit de la propriété intellectuelle assiste de grandes marques de luxe. La pratique est dirigée par la spécialiste du droit de la propriété intellectuelle Sandra Hazan – qui a notamment fondé le think tank Le Cercle du LuxeFrançois Chateau conseille aussi plusieurs entreprises françaises et européennes à New York.

Dentons est pourvu d’une large équipe, capable de couvrir un large éventail de problématiques fiscales. Le cabinet possède une solide expertise transactionnelle ; il assiste de grandes entreprises, de grands fonds et de grandes compagnies d’assurances dans la structuration d’opérations immobilières, de fusions-acquisitions et de private equity, de moyenne et grande dimensions. L’équipe est ainsi intervenue en 2020 sur la structuration d’une opération emblématique de fusions-acquisitions cotée, et a accompagné un grand fonds de private equity dans un deal LBO jumbo. Avec la crise de la Covid-19, une partie de l’activité fiscale du cabinet a consisté à accompagner des entreprises sur des restructurations fiscales, des opérations de fusions-acquisitions distressed et dans la gestion de problématiques de prix de transfert. L’équipe fiscale a enfin été consultée par une clientèle britannique et irlandaise pour traiter des questions relatives au Brexit. Le contentieux est également pris en charge. La pratique est dirigée par  Gianluca Calisti et fait aussi participer  Sandra Hazan et Jessie Gaston qui sont fortement recommandées. Interviennent aussi : Jérôme Le Berre et Julien Le Guyader.

Dentons prides itself on its multi-disciplinarity and its high level of integration between practice areas, providing luxury goods clients with well-rounded expertise. Consolidating its expertise in fashion, fragrances and cosmetics, the firm also represents leading talent in the luxury world, for example designers and stylists. A tax lawyer by specialism, Sandra Hazan has a strong reputation in the field of transfer pricing and international taxation. Loïc Lemercier joined the IP team from Clifford Chance in 2021 and is now leading the department.

Dentons provides a broad range of expertise, covering transactional M&A and real estate tax, as well as handling litigation and transfer pricing issues. The team runs a strong stand-alone practice for companies and investment funds, with a good presence in the biomedical industry.Recent work includes advising a French laboratory on the signing up of a licensing deal with a US laboratory. The practice was also retained to handle some aspects of the landmark Veolia-Suez transaction.  Key members of the team include practice head Gianluca Calisti, Sandra Hazan, of counsel Jérôme Le Berre and Julien Le Guyader. Jessie Gaston left the firm in July 2021.
