Customs, trade, WTO and anti-dumping Tier 3

Dentons' expertise spans trade remedies, WTO disputes, export controls and trade sanctions. Global group head Edward Borovikov is representing Corning in an Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of single-mode optical fibre from the US and Japan. In another matter, Borovikov is acting for Bayer in an anti-dumping investigation, also initiated by the EAEU, concerning the import of herbicide from the EU. The team also includes Bogdan Evtimov and Xiaoyi Tang.

It is entrusted to handle competition matters of the utmost complexity and strategic significance for clients in sectors such as energy, steel, chemicals, construction and transport. The team includes James Venit and senior counsel Mark Clough QC, who collectively have more than 60 years of competition law experience. Other names to note are Edward Borovikov and senior counsel David O’Keeffe, who both acted for Steel Invest & Finance at the General Court of the EU in proceedings concerning the alleged grant of state aid by the Belgian state to certain steel companies.
