Marcel heads the Banking and Finance practice in Amsterdam and is dedicated to Real Estate (Finance), (Renewable) Energy, Project/Export Finance, Structured Finance (Securitization), Sustainable Finance, Circular Economy, and Supply Chain/Supplier Finance. He has been working as a Banking and Finance lawyer for almost 20 years and is one of the leaders in the Netherlands in this field.
Marcel’s practice is gaining momentum, driven by international initiatives to tackle climate change on one hand, and the recognition of the critical role which sustainability plays in a resilient global financial system on the other. He has much experience with carbon offset mandates, sustainability funds, and emissions. He is at the cutting edge of technology and the future of law and is the formal point person for Digital & Innovation information/client solutions for Dentons Amsterdam.
