Jan-Mathijs Hermans is a partner and a civil-law notary in Corporate and M&A and works side by side with Banking in Amsterdam. As of 1988, Jan-Mathijs Hermans is active in the corporate & real estate practice. He was Crown appointed in 1999 as Dutch civil-law notary (notaris). On January 1, 2016 he joined Boekel as partner Corporate.

Over time he produced as (co-)author or editor various publications, amongst which (as of 2013) updating the contribution for The Netherlands for Aircraft Finance, Registration, Security and Enforcement, (2007) an article in the legal magazine Tijdschrift voor de Ondernemingsrechtpraktijk on Recent developments relating to cross border reorganisations of legal entities and (2001) a contribution for the Netherlands Antilles for Global Estate Planning, A Practical Guide to the Principles of Estate, Inheritance and Gift Taxes.
