Partner. Has acted in the acquisition, development and disposal of some 15 shopping centres and retail parks in Northern Ireland and Great Britain in the last ten years. Advising Priory Group in all aspects of the acquisition by way of development agreements of eight nursing home sites in Northern Ireland. Advising Dermont Groups on the property aspects of a property portfolio comprising four residential development sites from administrators of Taggarts Holdings Limited (£150m). Advising administrator in connection with the management and disposal of the Odyssey Pavilion. Advising a number of well known high street retailers in connection with the acquisition and disposal of property in Northern Ireland including Easons, Villeroy & Boch, Quicksilver, Phase 8, Polo Ralph Lauren, Regis, Xtravision, Lidl, Dunelm, Poundland, Karen Millen, Paperchase, Harvey Norman, La Senza, Oasis, Warehouse, Menarys and Tempest. Advising Bank of Ireland and First Trust Bank on disposals of residential development land by way of site fine/development agreement.

Member

Identified as a ‘Real Estate Leader’ in Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession for a number of years and since 2010 has been listed within ‘Band 1’ in the Real Estate Guide for Northern Ireland. Retained by the Institute of Professional Legal Studies as a tutor on a commercial conveyancing course which it runs annually and which is designed to assist qualified solicitors seeking to develop an expertise in this area. Committee member of Northern Ireland Commercial Property Lawyer’s group (2006-2013).
