David has more than 18 years’ experience representing individuals and companies being investigated by the police, HSE, local authorities, EA and other regulatory bodies for criminal and regulatory offences including gross negligence manslaughter, corporate manslaughter, prosecutions under the Health & Safety at Work Act, Food Safety Act and Environmental Protection Act.
David represents clients at PACE interviews, inquest proceedings and in the magistrates’ court. He advises and assists with appeals against Improvement Notices, Prohibition Notices and Fees for Intervention. He also represents HGV and PSV operators before traffic commissioners at public inquiries and has successfully appeared at the Upper Tribunal appealing traffic commissioner decisions. He regularly acts for individuals charged with causing death by dangerous or careless driving.
David has appeared in both Chambers and the Legal 500 for his transport regulatory work.
